Shahar Amdor
Meet Shahar Amdor (born 1999), a versatile saxophone and flute player, composer, arranger, film composer, and the leader of Amdor's Group. At just 16, while studying at "Thelma Yellin" high school, he represented Israel in performances across New Orleans, New York, Texas, and Washington DC. During his IDF service as an "outstanding musician," Shahar pursued academic studies at Rimon jazz institute (graduated in 2020).
Currently pursuing a BA in Performance with the Global Jazz Institute at Berklee College of Music (Boston), Shahar is a full scholarship recipient studying under Danilo Perez, with guidance from George Garzone, Tony Malabi, Walter Smith III, Billy Childs, and Tia Fuller.
Shahar's accolades include winning 1st place in the Red Sea Jazz Festival young artist competition in 2017 and 2018, as well as receiving a scholarship from the AICF in 2019. In 2020, he toured with the NK Philharmonic Orchestra as a soloist throughout Israel.
By the age of 23, Shahar released two albums, "Cassiopeia" (2020) and "Insomnia" (2022), both performed by his band, Amdor's Group
In 2023, Shahar achieved a milestone by flying his band for a tour in Ostrava. Subsequently, he continued to another tour, joining the Mattia Muller band for performances all over Slovakia, including the prestigious Blue Note venue.
Rotem Eylam
Rotem Eylam is a composer, guitarist and improviser from Israel. in December 2023 he graduated from the New England Conservatory, where he earned his bachelor’s degree studying with composer Stratis Minakakis and guitarist Joe Morris.
Rotem performed with his quartet (Eidson/Abramovski/Dubow/Eylam) around the US performing in places such as Downtown Music Gallery (NY), Rhizome (DC), Century Bar (PA). Last summer he had his string quartet performed at the VIPA festival in Valencia (Spain) by the Mivos Quartet. He also taught and performed as a guitarist in Amdor’s Group at LUPA festival in Ostrava (Czech Republic). He collaborated with improvisers from different fields such as saxophonist Tony Malaby around Boston and with dancer Maya Botzer-Simhon (Bat-Sheva Dance Company) to whom he was commissioned to compose an electronic piece for Bat-Sheva’s showcase in july 2023.
Ido Eylon
Introducing Ido Eylon, an accomplished pianist based in Boston with a primary focus on piano and synths, emphasizing sound design and harmony. His musical journey began at the age of 6 with private piano lessons, leading to his graduation from the Jazz Institute of Rimon School of Music in 2020. Currently, he pursues his studies at Berklee College of Music as a full scholarship recipient.
Ido's exceptional talent was recognized when he clinched the title of 'Jazz player of the year' in the Rimon competition of 2020. Notably, he had the privilege of representing the Rimon School of Music at both the IASJ convention in New York and the JaffaJazz Festival in 2019 and 2020.
His achievements extend to winning the competition for young jazz musicians, granting him the opportunity to showcase his skills at the prestigious Red Sea Jazz Festival. Ido's dedication to his craft and his innovative approach to piano and synths make him a dynamic force in the contemporary music scene. Keep an eye on this rising star as he continues to captivate audiences with his unique sound and musical prowess.
Nitzan Birnbaum
Meet Nitzan Birnbaum, a 23-year-old Israeli drummer, composer, producer, and singer-songwriter. He kickstarted his musical journey at age 6 and graduated from the renowned jazz department at Thelma Yellin High School of Arts in Israel. At 17, he earned a full scholarship for Berklee College of Music's summer program and later secured another for his BA.
Nitzan, recognized as an "outstanding musician" in the IDF, has already made a mark in the Israeli jazz scene, performing at iconic venues like Cesaria Arena and Zappa. Despite his youth, he's collaborated with international and Israeli artists like Eli Degibri and Shai Maestro.
At 19, Nitzan received a Merit Scholarship from AICF and won first place in the Rimon School of Music competition. His first albums, "Saba Project" and "Saba Project Vol. 2," narrate the compelling story of his Holocaust-survivor grandfather Ervin Birnbaum. The albums garnered critical acclaim, with "Saba Project" winning "Album of the Year" by Columbus Magazine.
Having released a studio album in 2021 and with a second one on the horizon for 2022, Nitzan is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies at Berklee College of Music on a full-time scholarship. In Boston, he manages and performs regularly at "Temple Place Productions," a live house shows venue.
Paul Reinhold
Meet Paul Reinhold, a highly skilled jazz/R&B bassist hailing from NJ, USA. His musical journey began at the tender age of 6, under the mentorship of some of the finest bass players globally, such as John Patitucci, Christian McBride, and Mike Pope. Born into a musical family, with both parents as musicians, Paul's innate talent was nurtured from an early age, setting the stage for his ongoing successful career.
Now, at the age of 21, Paul is on the brink of completing his degree at Berklee College of Music, a testament to his dedication and commitment to his craft. His educational journey is complemented by his dynamic presence in the music scene, touring with various artists. Paul's ability to seamlessly blend jazz and R&B styles showcases his versatility and musical depth.
Influenced by a rich musical heritage, Paul's bass lines resonate with a unique blend of technical prowess and emotional expression. Whether on stage or in the studio, his contributions to the music world reflect a maturity beyond his years. As he continues to evolve as a bassist and artist, Paul Reinhold stands poised to make lasting contributions to the world of music.
